Dear backers,
What a month December was! In our previous update, we explained that we wanted to ship all remaining pre-orders at once. This meant shipping about 5000 Knops.
We are very happy to say that we have shipped near to all Indiegogo pre-orders. There are still about 40 orders that haven’t been shipped yet. We have contacted all these people because this is due to incorrect or missing address information. If you haven’t received your order and haven’t heard from us, please send us an email on [email protected] and we will help you out! We are still receiving quite some emails daily, so please keep in mind that it can take us a couple of days before you receive a reply to your email. We promise to answer all your emails as soon as possible!
Now that we have shipped near to all pre-orders we have reopened our webshop once more. If you order before 17.00 o’clock we can deliver the next day (the Netherlands) or ship the following day (international). Are you loving Knops as much as we are, we would be honored and very appreciative if you could share the Knops love and let others know about our webshop reopening.
One more thing! We have thanked you guys a lot the last couple of months. Thanked you for your love, appreciation, feedback, patience. We want to thank you once more. Without you guys, we wouldn't be here right now and we are forever in your debt.

Dear backers,
Another month, another update! In our previous update, we explained how challenging the Knops process has been. The huge success of our campaign was overwhelming and it took us some time to get the perfect production process up and running. Now, however, we are proud to announce that we are about to cross the finish line!
This week we are busy packaging about 5.000 Knops. This results in us being able to ship all pre-orders between 10 and 19 December. Hooray! We will start shipping the orders that are furthest away from our production facility in the Netherlands first. So, to all our backers from Down Under, you’ll probably receive a track and trace next Monday! Not just our backers in Australia, obviously, you all will receive your track and trace code once your order has been shipped.
We are hoping that shipping orders to backers living further away first will result in everyone receiving their Knops before Christmas. However, experience has taught us that shipping overseas can take quite some time. The reason for this is that there are different (local) shipping partners that all have to work together in order to get your Knops to your doorstep. We apologize if your order does not reach you before Christmas but we hope that the knowledge that your Knops is underway can ease the pain! If you are still waiting for you Knops and haven't received a track and trace email after the 19th of December, please send us an email to [email protected] and we'll look into it asap.

Dear backers,
We want to start with apologizing for our silence. With this update, we hope you’ll understand why we needed some time to get all our operations and Knops itself in order!
Knops has been a real rollercoaster ride. With a brilliant idea and working prototype we believed we were ready for take off. Supported by all the amazing feedback and many orders we pressed all the buttons to get into mass production asap. We have now experienced how incredibly challenging it is to manufacture a stylish piece of hardware according to the high standards we demand for our customers.
You could very well argue that the great success of Knops has been very overwhelming to us. Knops alone consists of 13 individual parts. We have overcome a lot of challenges into fitting these all together and getting the final Knops on its way. One of the conclusions we had to draw is that our current manufacturing partner isn’t able to fulfill the high demand for our product on short notice. That’s why we invested our time and energy in setting up another production facility which is now up and running. We are proud to announce that our first production facility produced 1000 Knops last week, a new record! The next challenge is to grow this output with our second production partner whilst maintaining our high standards of quality in each and every Knops.
Next, we also set up a second packaging department which is functioning great. This means that we can package 1500 Knops every week. From there, our shipping and fulfillment partner does the rest to ensure that your Knops find their way to you.
Managing these processes have required the majority of our time. Every team member has spent many hours at our second production- and packaging partners. A sad consequence was that we couldn’t be as responsive to phone calls, emails, and online communication as we want to be. This is now changing and we hope you have already witnessed this in our response time.
We are, once again, very sorry for this and the other mistakes that we have made during the setting up of Knops. We hope you guys understand how hard it is for us to set up a completely new product with such a high demand and such a small (although very competent!) team. We are the first to admit that we have made mistakes along the way and want to express our gratitude for staying with us and keeping us focussed and sharp along the way. Your help means the world to us and is the reason that Knops is still going strong right now!
We are now finally able to start shipping large numbers of Knops. We have been in touch with many of you and apologize for the ones we haven’t been in touch with yet. We will be soon! We’d like to ask you to bear with us as we are approaching the finish line and we are structuring our companies so we don’t make the same mistakes twice. It’s our ambition and expectation that we’ll ship the majority of backlogs from the crowdfund campaigns before the end of the year, if not sooner.
Thank you for continued support and patience. Please know that we are working our #%^ off to ship your product asap. We once again apologize for our silence. We really needed some time to get Knops on the perfect track. We are very happy that we have smoothened out our processes once more and are still 100% dedicated to getting your Knops to your doorstep and in your ears!

Another week has passed, so it is time for our weekly update. As always, let us start with a recap!
The last Kickstarter orders will ship tomorrow. As we already explained last week, it took longer than expected. Our shipping partner had difficulty with fulfilling and shipping all the different orders. This is understandable, as we planned to send out a lot of orders all at once. However, the last Kickstarter orders will be shipped tomorrow and the first Indiegogo orders start shipping next week!

Now, we would like to give you some more updates on our production process. Our output has steadily been increasing and we are now producing around 600 Knops a week. However, we know you guys are eager to receive your Knops and that is why we can share the news that we are adding another production facility to the Knops assembly line. This means that we can start up our production output once again. This will take some time to really take off but is still great news. We’ll let you guys know when the new facility is up and running.
Also, the extra packaging partner that we are working with is doing great work and now keeping up with our production output. Due to this, we have produced and packaged 910 of Knops that are now ready to be shipped by our shipping department. Furthermore, we expect to produce 600 Knops sets next week.
In conclusion, we get requests from backers to give them exact dates as to when they can expect their Knops. We want to explain to you why this is so hard. Firstly, we produce a certain color of Knops and type of ring every week. For example, this week we produce Knops Original Black and next week we’ll produce Knops Original White. This means that we aren’t delivering Knops precisely related to backer numbers. This means that backer number 300 could receive a Knops before backer number 1, as number 300 ordered a Black Original and number 1 a Gold Black (that is, for example, not due to be produced until another week). We are trying to make sure that we produce and ship as chronologically as possible, but this isn’t always attainable. Trying to constantly calculate and figure out per person when their Knops will arrive will take us weeks. We would rather spend this time on optimizing our production process and getting you your Knops sooner. This is a bridge to the second reason that our estimations are going to be off: there are still a lot of improvements to be made in the production process, which is why there are still fluctuations in production and shipping every week. However, when we give you guys an exact date and miss this date, there is general outrage. People state they would rather have us not communicate these dates if we don’t know if we are going to make them. This we understand and is another reason why we don’t name exact dates.
What we can do is state that, as said before, we produce about 600 Knops a week now. These then have to be packaged (a couple of days) before they shipped, so that is how we now try to give you guys an idea of when your product will be shipped. We would like to remind you to keep in mind that it can take up to 2 weeks before you receive your pair of Knops, depending on where you live. You’ll receive a track & trace link on your email address that you used to order once your order is shipped.
So, that is a small update on how we calculate when you can expect your Knops but also an explanation of why this is still very different per edition of Knops.

Dear backers,
It’s Friday again and that can only mean one thing: the weekly update from our side. Let’s start with a quick recap of how we did last week.
As you know, Kickstarter orders were being sent out first, as these orders were placed before Indiegogo orders. The last of these orders are going to be sent out today and Monday. This took a little longer than expected as our shipping partner had difficulty keeping up with the pace. We aimed at sending the last ones out last week. However, as we had to send out a total of 1649 orders, it took about a week longer than expected. Our shipping partner has to seal your Knops in an outer package fit for shipment and then add an address label, which logically costs quite some time for the amount of Knops we want them to ship. The process is shown in the video underneath:
To make up for lost time, they are all working through the weekend. Because of this, next week we expect to ship the first 678 Indiegogo orders. Besides this, early next week the next 548 orders will be packaged and transported to our shipping partner.

We have good news regarding packaging. With production output steadily increasing, our current packaging partner was having difficulty keeping up. That is why we’ve started working together with another packaging partner alongside the current partner so we can keep on increasing the weekly shipment of Knops. We are working on another big improvement on which we'll hopefully be able to share more information next week...
